Dog on holiday at Lake Brennsee
Holidays with your dog

Where your dog really is welcome everywhere

Welcome in the restaurant, at the lake and on the terrace - not just tolerated in the room.

We mean it differently

Here, "dogs welcome" really means welcome.

Most places mean: your dog may join you in the room. At dinner he stays behind alone, and at the lake he is not wanted. With us, he is part of your stay - not pushed to the edge of it.

What "dog-friendly" means

Three levels that are easily confused.

Before you book, look past the label and check the level.

Level 1

Tolerated

In the room yes, everywhere else no. A surcharge per night. At dinner, your dog stays behind alone.

Level 2

Allowed

A few more areas, such as the terrace - with clear rules, but some leeway.

Level 3 · here

Welcome

Your dog may join you wherever you are: in the restaurant, on the lakeside terrace, in the water.

This works because we are a small house with our own kitchen. Where the food is cooked à la carte and the host himself is in the room, a dog resting quietly is not a problem - it is simply part of a normal evening.

Private lake access

From the house into the water - no detours.

At many public bathing spots, dogs are not allowed in the water. We sit right on Lake Brennsee and have our own private access where your dog may swim.

The routine is simple: from the house to the lake, your dog swims his laps, a quick towel-down, done. No drive, no searching for the one permitted spot. And the lake has drinking-water quality - a clean lake, with no worries about what he swallows while swimming.

Walks from the doorstep

The short morning walk starts right outside the door.

A holiday with a dog is made up of many small walks - morning, noon and evening. If you have to get in the car every time, the relaxation quickly wears off.

In the Gegendtal valley around Feld am See, lakeside paths, quiet forest roads and the slopes of the Nock Mountains can all be reached on foot from the house. You don't have to turn every walk into an outing - but you can, whenever you feel like it.

Region & getting here

Well supplied - and a relaxed journey.

Nearby you'll find a vet and shops for everything your dog needs. We are happy to give you specific addresses in person at reception.

An honest tip on when to come: early summer and autumn are often the nicer choice with a dog. In high summer it can get hot at the lake - then the rule is shaded paths and the lake for a cool-down in the afternoon.
