Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. When you visit the website, access data is automatically collected and stored (page visited, date and time, IP address, browser and operating system data). This data is used to ensure the operation, security and optimisation of our service (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fonts and external content

Fonts are loaded locally from our own server; no connection to Google servers is established.

Contact and enquiry form

If you contact us via the form or by email, the data you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of handling your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. Form submissions are technically processed via our hosting provider Netlify and delivered to us by email. We do not pass this data on without your consent.

Online booking

For online booking we use the SiteMinder booking engine. The data entered during the booking process (e.g. name, contact details, stay details, payment details) is processed to complete the booking (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Cookies, analytics and marketing

We use analytics and marketing services (Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel) only if you have given your consent via our cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Without consent, no analytics or marketing cookies are set.

Your data during your stay and booking

To provide our services, we process in particular master data (name, address, email, phone number), stay details and payment details. The legal bases are the performance of pre-contractual and contractual obligations, consents you have given, legal obligations (e.g. guest registration, tax law) and our legitimate interests. The storage period depends on the business relationship and statutory retention obligations.

Disclosure to third parties

Your personal data is only transferred to processors and third parties where this is necessary to provide our services and where they have committed to complying with the applicable data protection standards.

Google Maps (directions map)

On the “Enquiry & contact” page we embed a map from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The map is only loaded when you click “Load map”; until then no data is transferred to Google. By clicking you consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) to your IP address and possibly further usage data being transmitted to Google, including to the USA. Details in Google’s privacy policy.

Click fraud detection (ClickCease)

To protect our advertising campaigns against fraudulent clicks we use ClickCease, a service by ClickCease Ltd. It processes technical data of your visit - in particular IP address, browser and device details and the click behaviour on ads. The sole purpose is detecting and blocking automated or abusive clicks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing advertising fraud (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See the ClickCease privacy policy for details.

Your rights

In principle, you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, withdrawal of consent and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian data protection authority (Datenschutzbehörde).

You can reach us using the contact details given above.
